In 1986, Porsche released aluminum lower front control arms for the 944 to eliminate the flex experienced with the steel arms. Porsche also decided that the ball joints in the new A-arms were not serviceable and if becoming loose, complete new A-arms would have to purchased and installed. Fortunately, the ball joint rebuilding kits below offer a proven and inexpensive Do-It-Yourself alternative to this "proposition". The kits replace everything wearable in the ball joint and include enhancements to the Porsche design to make routine maintenance and re-greasing an easy task. There is no machining required thus preserving the intended rigidity of the A-arms.
